Jack Sparrow certainly did NOT have "Jack" tattoed under the sparrow tattoo design. The tattoo that Jack Sparrow had, was the sparrow, facing away from his body, and of course the sun, and the water. Johnny Depp got a very similar tattoo, after he wrapped the movies, the main differences being, the sparrow is flying towards him, and the name "Jack" underneath the tat, is his son's name.
